100 Good wishes

Chris' Aunt called and she is making Keira a 100 good wishes quilt. A Bai Jia Bei, or 100 Wishes Quilt is a tradition in the northern part of China and it has become popular with adoptive families welcoming little ones home. It is a quilt constructed of fabric from family and friends who have donated the fabric along with wishes for the child, to welcome and celebrate the new life. The fabric can be new or can be something that has some meaning to you. We need two 7X7 squares of cotton fabric and a poem, bible verse, wish or prayer. One scrap of fabric will go into the quilt, the other will go with the written message to make a scrapbook that goes with the quilt. For those of you that know me well, you know that's about the only chance the poor girl will have for a scrapbook made by her mother! Her room is Pottery Barn Penelope, it is pink yellow and light green.
