So yesterday we went to the Bazaar, it is warmer here and all the snow was melting. There were tons of sheep being sold in preparation for a holiday, so we were sliding everywhere on wet sheep poop. Some young (teenage girls) heard us speaking English and came up and started talking to Chris. After wandering around us for a bit, one came back and asked for his phone number. Our translator informed her he has a wife, poor guy. After our second visit we went bowling with the other families, one of the translators and two of the drivers. It was a lot of fun, but since we have become such old people we were ready to go to bed at 8 when we were done.
Today has been interesting. Our visit this morning was only abou 45 minute because there is a special program at the orphanage today. Today is a Muslim holiday like Easter so everyone has the day off. We went to the mosque and took a tour. It was interesting because part of the tradition is that wealthy people must each buy a lamb and cut it into 3 pieces, give two to the poor and eat on themselves for good luck. From what I could understand from the translator, this was loosely the Muslim version of our story of Isaac where God made the man choose whether to slaughter his child or a lamb. There were many poor people outside of the mosque begging and lots of lambs "in process".

The lamb story was very interested, but I have to say I did laugh about Chris. That little baby face of his, getting hit on in Kaz by teenage girls...Emily, you've definitely got a MacDaddy on your hands! You must be so proud!!
