God bless Koffeman!

Today is Tuesday, December 2nd. We are in Koffeman, which is the kazak equivalent of Starbucks. Really good cappucinos and free wi fi! We have not been able to get the internet to work in the apartment yet, so we were thrilled to come here. Only problem for us is that it is 2:00 in the afternoon here, so that is 2 am Nashville- we can't call the kids on the internet phone. As you can see from the pictures, Keira is gorgeous! Each visit when we go to play with her she breaks into a huge grin and comes running with arms open. Today when we got there we headed to the playroom, but had to go back when they came and told us we forgot to put a diaper on her. Apparently when she is with the caregivers she is commando, but they put a diaper on them for the bonding visits. After many layers were removed and diaper was put on, we got her back and got to play. They put shoes on her for the first time today, which were funny because they were about three inches longer than her feet and bright green. She looked like a clumsy elf because they made it hard for her to walk. Today she loved the stacking cups and the bubbles. She was chattering much more as well. It is so funny because when we talked to some of the other famlilies here they said "Oh, everyone knows Dayana, she is such a ham". Every caregiver that comes by when we have her says Dayana! and scoops her up for a kiss and tickle, she is clearly well liked by the staff. She is very outgoing and seems to pick up on what we are doing and repeat it quickly. We haven't seen her cry or any signs of temper yet, so I guess we'll have to teach her that part of being a Jenkins.

Lunch today was a chinese restaurant/bowling alley/pool hall. The food was actually very good and we are quite full. I'm guessing that tonight will be peanut butter crackers and some of the soup we brought from home.
